Moscow comments on Poland’s statement on the presence of NATO military personnel in Ukraine!

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk’s statements about the presence of NATO troops on Ukrainian territory show that the West is engaged in a hybrid conflict against Moscow, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Thursday.

“[It’s] the demonstration that the West is waging a hybrid war against Russia,” the spokeswoman was quoted as saying by Russian media.

On Thursday, Tusk confirmed the presence of NATO military personnel in Ukraine, made up of “observers and engineers“, without specifying the countries to which they belong.

The Polish head of government also recalled that the military bloc helps Kiev as much as possible, stressing that without this assistance the Slavic country would not have been able to hold out for so long.

Meanwhile, it has been reported that Lithuania is ready to deploy its soldiers to Ukrainian soil for a training mission, the Financial Times reported on Wednesday, citing the Baltic country’s Prime Minister Ingrida Simonyte.

For his part, last week, French President Emmanuel Macron reiterated in an interview that he would allow Western troops into Ukraine and listed the conditions for this. This is not the first time the president has publicly addressed this issue.

The Kremlin argues that if the West sends its military forces to Ukraine, a direct conflict between Russia and NATO cannot be avoided.
